In Reply To EGT is mostly a function of mixture and timing, so I posted by Ash's Z on February 15, 2007 at 09:10 PM

Message major differences in EGT's between the #1 and #3 runner on the stock manifold. On the AAE's the difference is far less everything else including fuel setup, tuning, boost, turboes etc etc being equal. It seems to me EGT's are being affected by manifold design and consequently by flowrate. I have not tested this on MS obviously but i suspect the difference will be even less (good thing).

At one time i was driving around with 6 egt probes to figure out the imbalances between runners. I was trying to figure out if it was a function of fuel rail imbalance or manifold design. Thats what persuaded me to go to the dual fuel feed system on my car. Made a significant difference. Even after i switched to dual feed i had a EGT imbalance front to back but the left to right imbalance was gone. It seems its affected by both but mostly by manifold design. Just a FYI.
